Dualism - is the apparent separation of perception into a subject and an object. All ideas are a creation of this dichotomy and fed through its filter. As soon as a view is taken, a bias is formed and a prejudice established. In the Teaching School, the Lord Buddha teaches the expedient of Right View. The Ch'an School takes Right View to mean the 'view of no view'. That is the direct perception of the Mind Ground - free of dualistic thinking.
Therefore, to take any view is to re-affirmd dualistic thinking and to continue the klesic obscuration of consciousness. Any view is incorrect from the Ch'an perspective if the Mind Ground is not realised. Ch'an teaching removes dualistic tendency through skillfully revealing the Mind Ground . The words of the Ch'an master have no hooks that an opinion can be hung on Enlightened words are slippery to the ego, and it can not get a hold. This is why no opinion or view can be established in the Enlightened Mind.
