Thome H Fang (1899-1977) was a contemporary of Charles Luk (1898-1978) - a master in the lineage of this board.

Master Fang was a Chinese and Western scholar, and he believed that each distinct culture could enrich the other, without either being depleted n the process. He was also deeply interested in Ch'an Buddhism and did much to preserve its teachings. This website has many very interesting links that will take time to fully browse and ingest. Master Fang wrote widely on many subjects and the site reflects his academic interests. The site is often bilingual with texts in Chinese and English. The site is administered by Dr George CH Sun - an outstanding academic in his own right, and Founding President.
