Master Xu Yun (1840-1959) lived nearly two full cycles of the Chinese Zodiac (which repeats once every sixty years). He gave-up his body sixty-two-years ago today when the tradition Chinese lunar colander is adjusted into the Western solar alternative. It is believed in China that if a person is psychologically and personally virtuous - then the ageing processes will be slowed dramatically so that the life expectancy will increase dramatically. Thomas Parr (1483-1635 CE) is believed to have been the oldest living man in England! He is buried in London's Westminster Abbey and is recorded as dying in ninth month of his 152nd year. China is full of people up to one-hundred and beyond - but this is quite often ignored in the West and assumed to be a product of dishonesty or even fraud - whereas every supposed elderly person in Japan is accepted at face value. Whatever the case, Master Xu Yun threw-off is body and became far greater than he had ever been!
