'As all realities are uncreated, all realities are imperishable" - if you can understand in this way, then the Buddhas are always present here and now. You should correctly direct the mind that frantically seeks every day and use it to investigate (and penetrate) this matter. After a very long time (which exists in an instant), the empty mind ground will naturally become clear. If you cannot do this, then living and dying will have no meaning. An ancient master said, "Make an effort; you must gain understanding in this life (here and now). Do not allow klesa to cloud your surface mind for ages to come." Ch'an Master Huai Shan (c. 1125 CE)
